Cruising AS Compared TO Resorts Part 2

Good Thursday morning everyone. Today we will discuss the positive ideas of cruising after we discussed about resorts.
I've found out that cruising isn't for everyone. While the guys were having our breakfast the waitress heard us talking about our vacations and she informed us that last week she was on a cruise and she'll never cruise again. She was sick every day because of the waves. I think it was because she was drinking to much but maybe it was the waves. On the other hand the lady who does my massage will only cruise and with her children. They just love everything about cruising.
OK, lets look at cruising. First the ship. They can be small ones or now the mega ships. You have to enjoy which one for yourself.
Here is an example of the new mega ships. The Allure of the Sea, Royal Caribbean.

This ship has over 6000 people and 2000 workers. It has a broadway show and ice skating in it.
I started this ship first  because I know that I would never go to to this type of ship. It's not for me but I've talked with some people who just loved the ship. Here was a little maller ship yet still mega ship and that was Carnival Vista and I loved this one.
It was as they call, a fun ship.
and here is something that my wife enjoyed doing, bike riding in the sky.
As I said before, every ship has something for everyone.
Pools for everyone. You want to eat something. If you areen't careful you might gain a great deal as I did on my first cruise.
One thing that a cruiser knows and that is an opportunity to stop at different ports.
                           Cartagena, Colombia
                                     St. Kitts
                              San Juan, PR
                               St. Maarten
One great thing about cruising is enjoying the sea.

I could on and on about cruising because I love cruising but as I said because cruising is not for everyone but it is for me.

I think the main thing is just that you decide the  enjoyment for your vacation, you choose. Mine is cruising and I can't wait until January 18th, 2019 for my next cruise. See ya my friends.

Cruising AS Compared TO Resorts

Good morning friends. I'm sorry being late but my Uncle Rocco passed away  and the funeral was yesterday. He was my father's brother but he was more then that to me. After my dad died, Uncle Rocco was like a father to me. If I needed any help, he was there so I will miss him a great deal.

Ok, what I want to talk with you is the difference of Cruising as compared to Resorts and what you would choose. Every Friday morning I go to breakfast with some friends. We all just came back from vacations, some of us cruised while others went to a resort. I would like your ideas on this. You already know my choices so I'm not going to mention my choice.

Here are some examples of types of resorts.

Well this looks fantastic doesn't it? Tomorrow I'll discuss the cruising idea. Twelve years ago when I wanted to arrange a vacation for my wife & I went to see travel agent of thank goodnes it was my friend Nancy. I mentioned Sandals and that's when she mentioned about a cruise. I have never even thought about a cruise even though it was in the back of my mind. Tomorrow I will tell you why I chose a cruise over a resort.

See ya until tomorrow my friends.

Excursions The Next Cruise

St. Kitts Pier

Since I've already planned arranged another cruise next year ( 10 day cruise ), I need to plan some excursions.
Nancy once told me about the Caribbean Scenic Railway Tour out of St. Kitts. It takes about 3 hours but it does cost a little but what the heck.

                                   St. Lucia

The other excursion is the Dolphin & Whale Watch Safari out of St. Lucia. The tour includes soft drinks, mineral water, rum punch and light snacks and the final one is

Amazing Antigua. It discovers all of Antigua's amazing treasures and history.
I'm not sure whether I'll take all three or two.

I'll let you know when I decide to pick. See ya for now.

At Sea / End Of The Cruise

Good afternoon everyone. I just came back having lunch with my cousins Dan & Tony.
This is the final day, a sea day before we arrive in Port Everglade and Fort Lauderdale.
The above photo was one that I took as we approached Cartagena.
Lets take a look at what we saw while we walking around the decks of the Celebrity Reflection.

Remember we were on the ship while the SuperBowl was on. You could tell. Look at these.
This was daughter's team. Sorry AmyLynn.
And the winner was the
During the game, they had many different large TV's going on. I saw the game in my cabin.

While walking around the ship we saw something that shocked us. My father gave me two large bottles of liquor, very large bottles and they each cost about $400. Look at this bottle in a wooden case. Check out the cost. I don't drink and thank goodness I don't. Look at the cost of this bottle & case.
Just to make sure that the cost was for real I took a photo just of the cost.
                               " REALLY "?

The Reflection did have a casino but not many people were playing the games.

Each night there was some form of entertainment, 3 large musical shows in the

Well the end is near. MaryLou decided to sit for the last time on our balcony.
After she began to pack our luggage, waiting to go for last dinner with Laura & Paul.
Our cruise was finished.

During the morning we took a taxi to the airport waiting for our flight.

Leaving Fort Lauderdale was sunny and warm but arriving into Metro airport was a different situation. A giant snow was now in motion and they had us circling around the airport for 30 minutes. Finally the runnways were cleaned enough to bring us down. It was quite an end of our cruise.
Thank you watching & reading about our cruise. See ya for now. One last thing, on every cruise MaryLou & I on " Chic Night " take a serious photo. Here is that photo.
